- Resources for the Kids' Camp Coordinators
- All participants must abide by the rules of the camp facilities.
- All participants must abide by the judgment and directions of the Camp Director
and/or staff in any given situation.
- All counselors are expected to enforce or help enforce the judgment and directions
of the Camp Director and/or staff. Therefore, all participants are expected to
follow the directions of their assigned counselor.
- All participants, counselors, and campers are expected to behave like Christian
young men and women. This means that their behavior at camp should reflect
well on the church they represent, the Olympic Baptist Association, and the
ideals and objectives of these groups. The Camp Director has the authority
to exercise his/her discretion in dealing with disciplinary action, to include
removal from camp if necessary.
- The following items are considered contraband:
- Alcoholic beverages.
- Tobacco products.
- Drugs or drug items not prescribed by a physician.
- Pornographic material.
- Weapons of any type including knives, numb chucks, fireworks, etc.
Campers found in possession of any contraband items will be returned home immediately.
- The camp schedule, as printed and/or amended by the Camp Director and staff will
be followed by all participants.
- All campers are expected to remain for the duration of the camp. Any request for
exceptions to this rule, including late arrivals and visitors, must be submitted in
writing to the Camp Director no later than one week prior to the beginning of camp.
No camper will be allowed to leave the camp premises without the express permission
of the Camp Director.
- No group is to leave until the camp facilities and property are cleaned and approved by
the Camp Manager.
- Counselors will be provided by churches on a ratio one counselor per 1—5 kids
of the same gender. Churches may pool this counselor resource subject to the
approval of the Camp Director. Camp Staff are not to be included in the
counselor ratio.
- Counselors for all camps must be 21 years of age or older. Subject to insurance and
legal requirements, a background check may be required for all staff and counselors.
- Wearing apparel will be modest in accordance with accepted Christian standards. Short shorts,
bare midriff, and bikini-type swimsuits will not be allowed. The judgment of the Camp Director
will be final.
- As no provison or facility is available at camp, other arrangements must be made for under
camp age children of staff or counselors.
